Good to know
Welcome to our brand new, hand-crafted woodland tiny house cabin! Tucked away on five wild acres of oak, hickory, and pine forest in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, this romantic sanctuary was custom built for nature lovers. Designed in spirit as an analog retreat for two, it offers complete forest immersion just 10 minutes from historic downtown Bathhouse Row and Hot Springs National Park. It is one of three cabins on our 5 acre property. Why You Will Love Staying Here: • 🌲 **Romantic Forest Retreat:** The most private of our three cabins on 5 wooded acres, surrounded by native pollinator plants, birdhouses, and visiting wildlife like deer, wild turkeys, and hawks. 🦌 • 🔥🛁 **Cedar Barrel Hot Tub:** Enjoy a deeply relaxing soak on the expansive screened-in porch under a cedar-plank ceiling, taking in forest and mountain views. Plush robes provided! 🌌 • 📚 **Analog Library & Vinyl Lounge:** Disconnect from screen fatigue in a custom oak library nook equipped with curated books, board games, a vintage-style record player, and warm mid-century modern lounge decor. 🎶 • ☕ White Oak Kitchen & Gourmet Coffee Bar: Start your morning with organic beans, a Bella coffee machine thats grinds and the brews, or a French Press. The custom white oak kitchen features a clever window backsplash that opens to a butcher block outdoor dining bar. It’s smartly equipped with a cabinet fridge and freezer, two-burner induction cooktop, Instapot, blender, toaster, and a high-end low-profile microwave. (Please note: while there is no traditional oven, the outdoor Weber electric grill roasts and bakes beautifully!) 🍳 • 🛏️ Mountain View Bedroom & Spa Bath: Drift off on a super comfy memory foam hybrid mattress dressed in high-quality 100% cotton linens, and wake up to sweeping views of the mountain and surrounding forest. The modern bathroom includes a gorgeous tiled walk-in shower, a separate toilet room, and a convenient LG laundry tower. You'll stay perfectly comfortable year-round with dedicated mini-splits in both the bedroom and the library lounge. • 🚴 **Prime Trail Access:** Under 2 miles to Cedar Glades and Northwoods mountain bike parks, and 4 miles to Hot Springs National Park’s Sunset Trail. 🥾 • ⚡️ **Modern Convenience:** High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, HD Smart TV with Roku, stacked washer/dryer, and dual mini-split heating and air conditioning. 🍿 ----------------------------------------------------------- **Craftsman Design & Analog Living** Every inch of this 375-square-foot tiny home was built with intention and master carpentry. Custom oak built-ins in the library wrap warm mid-century modern accents. The kitchen has white oak cabinetry, a quartz sink and butcher block countertops. Rather than staring at phones, put on a vinyl record, pick a title off the library shelves, or share a board game by the picture windows. When you do want a movie night, an HD Smart TV and Starlink Wi-Fi keep you effortlessly connected. **The Screened Porch & Cedar Spa** Nearly doubling your living area, the fully screened porch is the heart of the home. Soak in the custom cedar barrel hot tub, or sip morning coffee in comfortable outdoor rockers while watching wildlife move through the woods. The pass-through kitchen window opens directly onto an outdoor dining bar, perfect for handing drinks back and forth or enjoying a meal prepared on the Weber electric grill. **Restful Sleep & Relaxation** The quiet bedroom features a plush queen bed set against oversized windows framing forest views and mountain ridges, complete with shades for deep rest. In the bathroom, step into a walk-in rainfall shower with views of the mountain ridgeline over the trees, soft bathrobes waiting on hooks, and an in-unit stacked washer and dryer for post-adventure convenience. **A Ranger-Curated Refuge** As former Hot Springs National Park rangers, my wife and I designed this space to help guests slow down and appreciate the geology, ecology, and history of the Ouachita Mountains. Outside the cabin, we’ve planted native wildflowers and pollinator plants that attract birds and butterflies. Listen to rain trickle down the rain chain, watch sunsets paint the mountain ridge, and stargaze under ink-black night skies. **Location & Authentic Nature Immersion** While you’ll feel completely secluded, you are only 4 miles from Hot Springs National Park, 10 minutes to the cute shop and restaurants of Bathhouse Row, 13 miles to Garvan Woodland Gardens, and 15 miles to Lake Ouachita. We are very close to the borders of Hot Spring National Park land. There is abundant wildlife that visits our property. Our rustic yet modern tiny cabin offers a true immersion into the wild. When you book a stay with us, you are choosing to step out of the city and directly into a thriving natural ecosystem. You will be sharing the surrounding woods with abundant wildlife, from grazing deer and wild turkeys to soaring hawks, as well as the smaller locals like woodland mice and a wide variety of insects. While we work tirelessly to keep the cabins exceptionally clean, comfortable, and maintained - the reality of living in the woods means nature occasionally wanders close to or inside the home. We cherish this unfiltered connection to the outdoors, but if the occasional presence of insects, woodland mice, or wildlife makes you uncomfortable, this authentic nature retreat is probably not the best fit for your getaway. If you appreciate slow living, rich craftsmanship, and the peace that only the forest can bring, this unique tiny cabin retreat in the Ouachita foothills may be just what you need.

Neighborhood
The drive to our property from Hot Springs is a beautiful windy and hilly forest road and it can be very dark at night. Please take it slow, use your brights and look out for deer and other animals crossing the road. We see them often! Wildcat Estates lane is a dirt road with only four families that live on it. Please take it slow. Our property is the last driveway on the right. You will see a stone sign and an old historic chicken coup at the entrance to the drive. If you drive through a gate you have gone too far - that is our neighbors gate. Please do not venture onto the neighbors properties. Our property, Wildcat Cabins has three cabins on it. The tiny house is the most secluded of the three. As you pull up to the first two cabins you see as you come up the driveway you will see a sign on your right that says Tiny Cabin. Turn on the gravel drive after the sign and park right next to the tiny cabin and the barn, (used for storage). The closest grocery store is the Kroger 7 miles away. Locals call this the “little kroger”. If you need more of a selection, I recommend going to the big kroger further down on Central or the Walmart Superstore there. You do have to go through downtown to get to these so depending on the time of day, traffic can make this a longer trip There is also a Harps only 8 miles away down country roads in the other direction. This can often be the fastest. There is also a Walmart Superstore over there less than a mile from Harps. Our property has a lot of space and is very secluded but we do have neighbors and you can sometimes hear them. Please be nice and respectful. Quiet hours begin at 10 pm. Sound travels easily in our valley. Please respect quiet hours and be mindful of your noise levels after 10:00pm and before 8:00am. This is rural arkansas. Guest Access
The tiny cabin, porch, carport and front & backyard are your private retreat. The gravel drive on the right between the barn and the tiny cabin after the sign that says "Tiny Cabin" is your parking area. The 5 acres of forest and the rest of the property have shared access with our other two other woodland cabins - the Log Cabin and the Wildcat Cottage. They can be rented together to sleep more people and get total private access to the whole property, (Sleeps 12). For your safety, please do not explore further down the gravel road (Wildcat Estates Lane) or wander into the adjacent woods. The surrounding 100 acres are strictly private property and are sometimes used for hunting by our neighbor. Please respect our neighbors by not wandering onto their properties. Enjoy your time fully within the designated areas: your cabin, yard, firepit, and spa. The Barns, the Log Cabin, the Cottage with the carport and their yards and designated parking spaces are the only off limits spaces on our property.
